Lovey Dovey Family Album

you on this lovely sunny Monday morning to share a Mini Album that I made with some family photos made with a wooden KaiserCraft Album and MME "Love Me" papers and accessory sheet.

Before I started each individual page I selected the papers I wanted for the base of the pages, trimmed them to size and stuck them down with modge podge then sealed them with MP as well.  Once the MP was dry I went around the edges of the album with Distress Crackle Paint  "Picket Fence"
First up is the cover page.  I cut a title on my Cricut with "Opposites Attract" cartridge and inked the edges of the letters with distress inkpad "antique linen" and painted the inside of the flower with the picket fence paint.
second page is embellished with bits of the accessory sheet and photos of my husband and daughter, Jodie.
Third page I cut some large shapes from one of the papers and stuck them around the edges of the page and again used the accessory sheet to embellish. Then added the photos of Connor, Anguus and Jodie.
And the last page which will eventually have a photo of our baby William and myself (when I decide that one is suitable) is yet again decorated with the accessory sheet.

I used VERY few supplies in this album but with some paint, ink and dimensional adhesive it came together really nicely.  So a sweet way to make a relatively inexpensive album as a keepsake.

The 2 of U Layout

A quick and late post from me today as I have a very sick baby that I am monitoring hourly......

I love this photo of my boys in one of their loving moments :) they don't happen often so I am glad I caught it on camera.  I wanted to keep the photo as the focus so made it large and the focus of the layout.

I have used kraft, brown and blue cardstock, patterned paper, cricut personal cutter, punches, buttons, gems, Pretty Little Studio journaling card and Opposites Attract cricut cartridge.

Don't forget the sketch challenge is still running and boy are there some exciting things happening with the challenge next month :)

Follower & Birthday Blog Candy.....

Earlier this week my very good friend Trace put up her 300th Follower Candy and also Birthday Candy, I am not as generous as her so I am combining mine.  So to celebrate 60 followers (I know that is a pathetic amount!) and my birthday ( I am not going to be quite as unmentionable as Trace but fairly close) I am giving away some stash, there are stamps, ribbons, flowers, 2x Heidi Swap CB Alphabets, a heap of KaiserCraft embellies (boy suitable) and paint to mention a few things.
Here are the photos.

So if you are a follower or just want to win some yummy stash add you name to the linky.......

DTC - SPARKLE

This weeks challenge at Digital Tuesday Challenge is sparkle, we want to see lots of sparkle on you projects with a digital element to them.

Here is my card using Cirque from The Paper Shelter, she is quite the sexy circus performer :) I used the
PRECOLOURED Version

I added glimmer glam very liberally on my card, both on my papers and the image. The rosettes were cut using  Tim Holtz alteration die (available from Artfull Crafts, as is the glimmer glam).

Hope you will come and play along with us.

Yet More Exciting News.......

Hi wonderful readers of my little crafty blog :)
A couple of weeks ago I made THIS post about becoming a member of The Stamp Spot team as a scrapbooker.  I was quite shocked at the time as I had applied as a cardmaker.  When Michelle and Jessica who are in charge visited my blog they really liked my scrapbooking.  That came as a total schock as I hardly every scrapbook anymore due to card commitments.
I thought to myself that if they liked my scrapping, perhaps others would too so I applied for a couple of different design teams that weren't cardmaking ones and I am now a proud design team member of...........

Scrap Your CRAP

and

I officially start on both these DTs in March, so be sure to keep a lookout for what I will be creating.

Everyday Layout.........

I am pretty excited as this is my first post for The Stamp Spot, I will get on with it....
I have recently decided that I need to scrap more about the everyday stuff in our lives, the things my kids enjoy,   routines around our home etc so that it is not just the events that are documented.  This layout is about my daughter and her love of drawing, just a little thing that she does most days but she may not later on when she gets older.
I have used Kraft cardstock for my base and inked the edges with a pink inkpad, the papers are echopark which I cut to size to provide a mat for the photos the journaling tag has been filled out with a font from my computer and printed on using using photoshop.  I put twine under the title to add a little interest, I glued it with fabric glue as it dries clear and you can hardly see the glue line.

Thanks for looking and I hope you will join in our sketch challenge  which is running for the month of February :)

Just So You Know..........

I am sad today because my lovely husband is going away for a week, he leaves tomorrow :(

I am not as sad about Whitney as I was about River Phoenix (I think I cried for a day, I was 15 though).

I wish I had cool hair like Krista Smith!

My kids inspire me, except when they fight with each other.

My sewing is getting better, I will share some stuff I have been making later in the week.

I really would have loved to have had a nice hot Summer, it has been the biggest letdown of all time.

Buttons rock!

I don't know what I would do if there was an international coffee shortage, possibly hibernate until it was over.

I am really glad Connor goes to a Christian school.

The Paper Shelter - Be My Valentine

The challenge this week at TPS is to create a Valentines Card.  I have used a new stamp called "Love Letters" from The Paper Shelter, I have cut her out and coloured with Prismas.  I am a little disappointed with the colouring on my image, I haven't been colouring much lately and it certainly shows here.

Anyway, overall the card is passable coz I love the rest of it :)

Hope you will come and play along with us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday 6 February 2012

I have made the team over at THE STAMP SPOT.  That means you will be seeing more scrapbooking on my blog as I am on the scrapbooking team.  I am a bit blown away as I have never considered my scrapbooking very good at all, just dabbling really and doing it for my famdangle.  I don't usually share my layouts on here, but I will be from now on, so here are the first of many to come.........
