TPS - Tie a Bow

This week the challenge over at The Paper Shelter Challenge is to tie a bow using some sort of spooled item.  I have used one of the newer images on my card, PRE-COLOURED a smart snow white.  I made this card for my Jodie's 2nd birthday last Tuesday, I can't believe how fast time is flying and how big she is getting.  I have managed to pass my love of all things pink onto her so I have made this card VERY pink just for her.
The sentiment was stamped using an old SU set and the ribbon is also from SU.  The papers came in a lovely package I was sent by my good friend Trace, the box was packed with loads of yummy paper crafting bits and bobs, I was so lucky.  I gave her blog a summer makeover to say thanks but I am thinking a little something in the mail could be called for.  Make sure and go and check her cards out, she is SUPER clever and talented.

A Cuddly Buddly Commission Card

I made this card for a commission a few weeks ago but hadn't posted it yet so I thought I would share it with you today.  I used an image from Cuddly Buddly called Star Birdie. I coloured her (I am guessing it is a her) with prisma pencils and the papers are digital ones from Digital House Design and are by Jen Allyson.

A little something something....... or three.

When I was doing the last of my shopping in Palmerston North a few weeks ago, I found some t-shirt transfer paper in Spotlight and a little idea began to form.   I have seen lots of printed t-shirts for kids and thought hmmmmm, with the amount of cool fonts and elements I have in digi kits I bet I could make some awesome  prints for the kidlets.  Yesterday while hubby and the boys were away shopping and Jodie was sleeping I decided to have a little play.

First up we have Jodie's new "Whoo Me? tshirt made with alphas and elements from Whimsical Garden by Kristen Cronin-Barrow available from Sweet Shoppe Designs, modelled by the gorgeous Jodie <3

Next we have a summery creation using Strawberry Kisses by Tracy Stroud available from Scraporchard.  Not much to say other than the caption on the T-Shirt totally fits both the shirt and the model.lol.

And this pretty pink number was embellished with roses made with fabric scraps from some sewing projects I have been doing lately.

And that is a wrap!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone has an awesome Christmas, xox!

A little something I cased..........

I saw an awesome coathanger kite HERE at Ruffles & Stuff  lastnight when I was having a little surf in webland.  I added it to my pintrest board  with the comment "I am going to make this tomorrow" and I have YAY!
Here is a photo of my take on it......
as you can see mine is not a bow holder as Jodie doesn't have any bows, she does have clips though and I can clip them to the ribbon.  They wouldn't be big enough to look like kite bows on the string however so I used off cuts of the kite material to make mine.  I have taken this picture hanging from a picture hook in our kitchen as there is no window in Jodie's room at the moment (don't even ask, I am assured it will be replaced over hubby's Christmas break) so I couldn't get a decent photo in there.  Although you can take my word for it that it is now hanging artistically across one wall in there.  This is SOOOO cute and easy to make that I plan to get some material next time I am in Palmy to match Zippy's room so I can make him one too, obviously NOT for hairclips, just as a decor item :)

I am entering this in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting and be sure to leave me a comment so I can return the blog love.

Christmas Tags

A few gift tags to share with you.  I have actually made these for my children as decorations for the tree, hence the monogram letter on each one.

Firstly we have Connor's Tag.......

For all three cards I cut 2 labels on my cricut with the George and basic shapes cartridge and stuck them together to make the tags a bit firmer.   For this tag I embossed a background in white ep with the music notes  stamp from the December 25 clear stamp set by KaiserCraft, I then painted with glimmer glam be positive, once the glimmer glam was dry I buffed with a chux cloth to bring out the white embossing. I stamped the  "25" from the December 25 stampset with versamark and embossed again with white EP, I then inked over with Distress ink in Fired Brick. I finished the tag with some spotted organza ribbonbakers twine and an AC Thickers letter.
Angus' tag took a lot longer to complete and looks very shiny and textured in real life.  I started by inking the tag with a sponge withDistress ink in Fired Brick, I then stamped the flourishy stamp fromDecember 25 stamp set in versamark and embossed with copper ep, I then painted over with be positive glimmer glam, once again I burnished when it was dry with a chux cloth.  I then sprayed with glimmer mist in iridescent gold and dried with my heat gun, I brushed the edge of the tag with glimmer glaze in sea kelp and stamped the sentiment withblack stazon.  The chipboard star is painted with glimmer glam be positive and covered with royal coat gloss, once dry I I edged it with agold inkpad.  I used a kaisercraft wooden flourish and coloured it with a gold inkpad.  the A is another AC Thicker.
And lastly Jodie's tag.  Painted completely with glimmer glam heffalumpand I  then stamped the angel from December 25 stamp set and embossed in silver.  The roses and crystals were attached with my heat gun and a pink organza ribbon tied and bowed at the top to finish.

Pretty Little Christmas Baubles

Hi, it is a stunning day here!!!  Nice to see the start of summer arrive.  I am going to share some Christmas deccys with you today.  Every Year I buy clear glass baubles from a craft shop and decorate them however the years mood strikes me.  The boys also do a bauble each every year as well, it has turned into a kind of tradition .  So here are some that I have done so far this year......

The first one is my favourite so far,  keeping in mind these are all super easy to make don't be expecting any mind blowing techniques here.  I spray painted this one with gloss white spray paint and when it was dry stuck buttons all over it using my glue gun so they will never fall off. ;)  I finished it by tying some pink  ribbon around the top.
The next one is again spray painted with gloss whit spray paint.  I stuck red ribbon around the middle then stuck the bells on with my glue gun.  You could also sew on charms.
This one took a  bit longer than the rest to make.  I painted this bauble with 3 coats of glimmer glam in Heffalump, on the last coat I sprinkled irridescent glitter on while it was still wet.  Once it had dried I glued the roses on.  i then tied a bow with seam binding ribbon.
And lastly this one was spray painted in silver and then I put pink pearls on.  EASY!!!!!
These are lots of fun to decorate and you are only limited by your imagination :)
