But this is providing you have used one of their products on your card, that can be a image, paper or a printable and even if you dont they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice. Do please go and visit their website"The Paper Shelter" and see for yourself what beautiful products they have and often have special offers to, and the exchange rate is fabulous against the pound so its certainly worth a visit.

The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes

This week is Anything Goes at The Paper Shelter, always a fun one as we get to see loads of different types of projects.
I have made a non sentiment card, I sell more of these than anything else at the shop where I sell my cards.  Most likely because people can use them for whatever they like.
I have used the Sweet Dressmaker for my card and turned her into a bit of a alternative chick in her clothing colours, a little more like me but skinnier and I don't do shorts ;)

I hope you will come and play along with us :)

The Paper Shelter - Easter

Time for another challenge for the A team at The Paper Shelter and this time around we would like to see Easter Projects.

The gift voucher
Remember you have the chance of winning a gift voucher worth $30 if you play with a Paper Shelter product. Either a digi or designer papers, or both if you feel like it. Playing with another brand gives you a chance of winning three digis of your choice.

Here is my card for the challenge...........

I have used a precoloured image called Easter Masterpiece and some digital papers off my stick that I got years ago.  The sentiment is from SU and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The clouds are cut from a memory box die.  I coloured the background of the image with copics and stitched around the papers with my sewing machine.

Thanks loads for dropping by :)

The Paper Shelter Animal Magic

Hi, it seems like quite a while since I have posted a creation on my blog, well that is probably because it is!  But I am here today with a bright and funky card for The Paper Shelter's Animal Magic challenge....

And now, of course, for this weeks "Animal Magic" Challenge our very generous sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a prize of $30.

But as always this is providing you have used one of their products on your card and even if you don't you will still receive 3 digi images of your own choice, and believe me when I tell you their products are extremely good value and just gorgeous so do please go and visit The Paper Shelter Website and see for yourself.

Here is my card.....

I actually used OMS on this card with my pencils for the first time in ages, it just helped blend the blue in the background a bit better.  The image and the papers are both from TPS.

The Paper Shelter - Wrapped Up

I am STOKED!!!!!  I have been asked to stay on as a permanent DT member at The Paper Shelter, I am so happy to be back on board whoop whoop!
This week is Team A's turn (which I am on) and our them is All Wrapped Up, so yep in the sweltering heat of summer another winter card for me, I guess that is why the coral orange sneaked in ;)

I coloured the image Warm in the Winter with Prisma pencils, the papers are teresa Collins and I have used pearl trim from Retail Girl on Trade Me and Liquid Pearls (Blitsy Bargain) I inked the edges using Distress Inks in Broken China and Spiced Marmalade (Blitsy Bargains).  The sentiment is from Hero Arts and was stamped with Not Quite Navy SU ink.

Thanks loads for coming by my blog today :)

The Paper Shelter - Winter Blues

Hi  :)  It is a totally yucky day here considering we are in the middle of summer, so it is very appropriate that I am posting the card I am about to.

If you have been following me for a while you will remember that I was on the DT for the Paper Shelter until I stepped down when I had my operation last June..... well, Shirley emailed me on Tuesday to ask if I would be able to guest DT until March. WHOOO HOOOO of course I said yes!  I love The Paper Shelter and Veronica and Pedro are so awesome.

So anyway here is my card for WINTER BLUES using the very cute "cup of cocoa".  I had to use a precoloured image as due to the time difference and the challenge going live I only had a few hours.

Thanks loads for dropping by, and thanks so much for for your wonderful comments :)  The really do make my day!

The Paper Shelter - Paper Peicing

Another challenge for Team B over at The Paper Shelter this week we would like to see paper piecing.  I have used TPS digi papers for the piecing applying them to the image using photoshop.

I have used DCWV Kids stack for the papers and coloured my image with copics.
The pearl swirl is from prima and the flowers are from my stash.  The ribbon is SU Melon Mambo and the brad is a Basic Grey one I think.

The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes

This week it is Anything Goes with team b over at The Paper Shelter Challenge.
I have used Little Cowboy with paper from the Alla Prima collection.  Image is again coloured with copics.  I had a huge break from my copics as I had got a little bored (I know, weird) and had been using my prismacolor pencils loads.  I have now got over the boredness and embraced my copics again.  I am loving the results too, yay.

We had Connor's first parent - teacher meeting last night, overall it went well and we were pleasantly surprised which was great!

Hope you will come along and join in our anything goes challenge :)  See you there.

This weeks challenge at The Paper Shelter is to add a sentiment to your card.

Make sure and come and join us with your creations, remember you can use any image but if you do use an image from The Paper Shelter you could win a $20.00 gift voucher, if you win and you haven't used TPS you  will receive 3 images of your choice.

DTC - SPARKLE

This weeks challenge at Digital Tuesday Challenge is sparkle, we want to see lots of sparkle on you projects with a digital element to them.

Here is my card using Cirque from The Paper Shelter, she is quite the sexy circus performer :) I used the
PRECOLOURED Version

I added glimmer glam very liberally on my card, both on my papers and the image. The rosettes were cut using  Tim Holtz alteration die (available from Artfull Crafts, as is the glimmer glam).

Hope you will come and play along with us.

The Paper Shelter - Be My Valentine

The challenge this week at TPS is to create a Valentines Card.  I have used a new stamp called "Love Letters" from The Paper Shelter, I have cut her out and coloured with Prismas.  I am a little disappointed with the colouring on my image, I haven't been colouring much lately and it certainly shows here.

Anyway, overall the card is passable coz I love the rest of it :)

Hope you will come and play along with us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TPS - Tie a Bow

This week the challenge over at The Paper Shelter Challenge is to tie a bow using some sort of spooled item.  I have used one of the newer images on my card, PRE-COLOURED a smart snow white.  I made this card for my Jodie's 2nd birthday last Tuesday, I can't believe how fast time is flying and how big she is getting.  I have managed to pass my love of all things pink onto her so I have made this card VERY pink just for her.
The sentiment was stamped using an old SU set and the ribbon is also from SU.  The papers came in a lovely package I was sent by my good friend Trace, the box was packed with loads of yummy paper crafting bits and bobs, I was so lucky.  I gave her blog a summer makeover to say thanks but I am thinking a little something in the mail could be called for.  Make sure and go and check her cards out, she is SUPER clever and talented.

The papers are digital papers and the cardstock is SU Cameo Coral.  Hope you will come over and join in with us at the Paper Shelter Challenge, remember you may use any image you like and the theme is anything goes.

I am entering this card in the following challenges...

Some Fancy Folding............

I'm here today with a few cards to share that may impress your non-crafty friends as they look harder to make than what they are.
First up we have a Waterfall Card, you can find tutorial for this onsplitcoast stampers , but I found it REALLY hard to follow and suggest follow this easy to follow video on YouTube.......

Front view as it would arrive in the mailbox :)
The bottom being slowly pulled to create the "waterfall" of images...
Side view of images being pulled down.....
Cool huh???? And pretty simple to make once you get the score lines figured out.  I have used papers from MM Twinkle 8x8 paper pack,  I love the colours in this collection, bright but traditional.  I have also used"December 25" clear stamps by KaiserCraft  for my images.
Next up is a simple Gate fold card........
Front view closed
Half open so you can see the split.....
I didn't get a photo of the inside which is all decorated as the batteries went flat in my camera.  I have used a precoloured image on this card which makes things even easier, it is called "Santa is coming" and is available from The Paper Shelter as both a line and precoloured image.  I have then added highlights with my faithfull  stickles, I don't think I can make a card without using these little lovelies.
I am entering this card in the following Challenges.......
Heidi's Hobbies - Bling & Sparkle
Tiffany Doodles - Glitter & Sparkles
And last but certainly not least we have a kickstand card....
As it would arrive in the mail......
And standing on it's "stand"
I have used the MM Twinkle papers again for this one and added a die cut doily which was cut with THIS Cheery Lynn die.  I have used the December 25 clear stamps again along with some flowers in the corner blinged up a bit with stickles.  The precoloured image ( Santa's Cute Helper from THE PAPER SHELTER) has been cut out with a label die in my cuttlebug.
I am entering this card in the following challenges....

So that is a wrap for me for this time, hope there is something here to inspire you a little
