Lookie What I made........

I have been buying a few patterns on line lately in my quest to improve my sewing skills, which to be honest before I started were pretty damn rusty having not sewn since high school.
One of my fave shops is Create Kids Couture which is where I got the pattern for these very cool pants as modelled by the super gorgeous Jo Jo Bink (that's her modelling pseudonym.lol) otherwise known as Jodie :)

Apparently they also make great workout pants :)

I am linking up to the following...........

My Charming Little Man

Hi, here today to share a little mini album  made up from Echo Park This & That "Charming" Collection.

I am going to keep this fairly short and sweet as it is a short and sweet album :)

It has more pages than shown here but I am sharing my favourites as I really don't want to be taking up a huge amount of space with loads of page photos when you can get the idea from a few.

So here goes...........

First up we have the cover page, I like the chipboard sticker as it saved me making a title ;) I layered the back with a tag from the Journaling Cards sheet and cut the shape behind using an old peice of chipboard as a stencil, I have repeated this shape throughout the album. The pennant border I cut from paper scraps left over at the end of the project.

I used the label stencil again here to mark out oun the page then cut with a scalpel. If you look closely at the left hand corner you can see where I use packaging off the chip stickers to firm up my overhanging bits. The sticker sheet was used on this page.

Here is a page with both Connor & Will, a mix of journaling cards and stickers on here.

Love this photo of Will, my super smilely boy, again repeating my label and stickers to embellish.

A far more serious look for William here, embellished with stickers. It was so easy to make this album with the Charming Collection kit as everything was right there in the package ready to use, I just had to add the co-ordinating chipboard stickers.

The papers on this project are.......

EP - Swirls

Thanks for looking and I hope to see lots of "charming" projects popping up about the place using the fabulous card kits and Collection kits

DTC - Your Fav Colour

This week at Digital Tuesday Challenge we want to see card using your favourite colour :)  Easy peasy!
My fav colour at the moment for using on cards is melon pink.

I have also used some other colours as just pink would be a little much no matter how much I love it.  I have also used one of my newer saturated canary images.

Hope you will come and play along.

Scapping on a Sunday

Hi, here with you today to share a layout using our The Stamp Spot March "Spots"......

We went to visit my brother and sister in law last month and my hubby and brother took the children over to the private beach (how cool is that?) to play and Andrew took some photos. I have scrapped some on this layout.

I love how this came together, and the patterns really suit a summer day spent at the beach. I used a selection of roses and then hand made some flowers using circle punches and brads. I have used a punch along the bottom of the blue paper to add interest. I have use quite a bit of mist on my layout to give it a shimmery, summery feel.

Hope you all out there have managed to get at least one day in at the beach this sad old (weatherwsie) summer

Artfull Crafts, Quick and easy with Tigerlilly

I am going to share some elegant and simple cards with you using KaiserCraft Tigerlilly Collection. These were really quick to make as no stamping required which means I don't spend hours colouring and getting my image perfect :)

I have propped up the elements on both cards using foam tape. These are so pretty and really easy and this collection has the most gorgeous images and flourishes. You could make so many different types of cards with this collection.

The Paper Shelter - Paper Peicing

Another challenge for Team B over at The Paper Shelter this week we would like to see paper piecing.  I have used TPS digi papers for the piecing applying them to the image using photoshop.

I have used DCWV Kids stack for the papers and coloured my image with copics.
The pearl swirl is from prima and the flowers are from my stash.  The ribbon is SU Melon Mambo and the brad is a Basic Grey one I think.

SYC - Use Tape

This month is my first challenge as a member of the SYC team and I have managed to start when it is a very awesome challenge indeed.........

USE TAPE!
see, told you it is a good one :)

Here is the layout I came up with using some of Zippy's first photos from the day he was born.  It was a bit of a scramble to find some tape to use but I managed to dig some out that had been sent in a kit quite a while ago and never used.  That is the great thing about these challenges, you get pushed outside your comfort zone.

I used allsorts of bits and peices on this......
Kraft Cardstock
K&Co Hopscotch Papers
AC Thickers
Cosmo Cricket Mini Alphas
Marcy Penner Journal Square
Pink Paislee Artisan Tape
Hambly Transparency
Bella Borders
Glimmermist
Pebbles sticker

Whew that is quite the list :)  Make sure and go and see what the rest of the DT have come up with.

Artfull Crafts Centre Stage - Echo Park Card

This month at Artfull Crafts we are focusing on Echo Park products. In an exciting new initiative Liz is teaming up with popular scrapbooking companies and they will be the focus by the design team for a whole month.

I have used some of the "Yours Truly" to make this card for someone who is travelling overseas.

I used stamps from hero arts for the sentiments and assorted flowers and a ribbon from the store to embellish.  I also stamped on the background layer with a KaiserCraft swirl stamp.

Be sure to check out the fabulous Echo Park Collections in the webshop, they are gorgeous, the papers are lovely and thick and the embellishments are fantastic.

here they are :)

Like the human version of decadent layered choccy cake..... extremely bad for you but oh so lovely!!!!!!!!!

The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes

This week it is Anything Goes with team b over at The Paper Shelter Challenge.
I have used Little Cowboy with paper from the Alla Prima collection.  Image is again coloured with copics.  I had a huge break from my copics as I had got a little bored (I know, weird) and had been using my prismacolor pencils loads.  I have now got over the boredness and embraced my copics again.  I am loving the results too, yay.

We had Connor's first parent - teacher meeting last night, overall it went well and we were pleasantly surprised which was great!

Hope you will come along and join in our anything goes challenge :)  See you there.

DTC - Sketch Challenge

This week at Digital Tuesday Challenge we have a sketch for you created by Natasha.

Here is my take using a Saturated Canary image called Rainy Day, the papers are Prima Romantique.

I coloured the image with copics.

I love how this card came together, the colours are lovely and subtle and the colouring turned out really well. It is the first time in ages I have managed to get the hair looking good.

It is so nice to be c=back on line this week after losing both the phone and internet last week.  It was all fairly traumatic as my husband was away and I was home alone with the kids and no way to communicate with the outside world unless I got in the car.  Thank goodness that is all sorted.
