Yummy little layout

Hi, I have a layout for Artfull Crafts to share today.
This month our centre stage company has been Fynmark and Ruby Rock-it.  I have used the Nostalgia Kit from Ruby Rock-It for my layout along with the photo from Zippy's first taste of solids......

He looks pretty impressed by them I must say, it is a shame it didn't last though :(  He has now completely gone of food since he had a sore throat.

That is is from me for today, I am back to resting up while I can until Monday when hubster goes back to work.

A bit of a ramble

ok so are you ready for a pic.............

Yes that is my fat tummy :)  And those are three of the 6 holes from my surgery last Friday, those of you that know I went for a gall bladder removal and know anything about it may be wondering why so many holes.... well I had another thing done while I was under that was a little more serious but that one is a secret.   I know I share most things but in regards to good taste I have to keep some things private :)

So I have had my lovely hubby home looking after me, well more the kids really so I can have some peace and quiet.

I have had lots of visits in my room from this one...........
Her daddy is finding her a bit of a handful and getting quite frustrated that he spends most of his time running around after her and Will, hmmmm welcome to my world my love ;)
I have had lots of time to watch you tube crafting vids and peruse Trade Me, I actually won an awesome auction today for 25 Distress Ink Pads, and they were cheap! YAY.

I have also signed up for this..........
Stretch Your Stamps

which should be cool, it is taught by Kristina Werner & Jennifer McGuire.  I have lots of stamps I hardly use any more that I am sure I will after the class, at least I hope so.

I have also been spending Andrew's hard earned cash on digis, dies and pencils.... I am so lucky he loves me so.

So that is it from me and my little ramble, please leave me some love so I can spend some time visiting you back.

Magnolia Stamps Available at Artfull Crafts :)

Hi, here with you today to share a couple of cards featuring the new Magnolia Stamps which have just become available at Artfull Crafts.
First up I have an Autumn inspired card........
I used Magnolia "Sweet Crazy Love - Rose Scent Tilda" coloured with prisma pencils and OMS on watercolour paper, I cut the image out with sharp scissors to get a better edge and mounted it on the mat which was cut with My Favourite Things Die-namics - Oval Open Scallop Doily. The papers are from theRuby Rocket Nostalgia collection. I glimmer misted a prima resistant canvas with glimmermist in Sunsisters & Meadow Green

On this second card I have used softer colours and given the card a more shabby look. I used Magnolia Stamps - Sweet Crazy Love - Heart Balloons coloured with copics on watercolour paper. I have used a 6x6 MME paper pad for the papers which are edged with Picket Fence Distress Paint as are the Sweet Nothing Collectables I have also used on the background. I have glimmer misted the seam binding and prima resistant canvas with Electric Blue and Vintage Pink glimmermists.

These magnolia stamps are very cute and fun to colour and there is a great selection available at Artfull Crafts so be sure to check them out.

Digital Tuesday Challenge - Tag It

This week over at DTC our challenge is Tags, make one, use one, hide one, whatever as long as your card has a tag.

This is my tag.........

I cut my tag using my cricut and the George cartridge (letter K) at 5", I then stamped a gorjuss image on the tag and masked it before spraying with a couple of glimmermists, I printed out the arrow from  a kit from Digi House Design and resized it, I stuffed it up the first time as it printed quite large and in poorer quality so I cut the heart from the muck up one.  The letter stickers are Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type, I tied a peice of bakers twine around the top of the tag adding the button to the bow.  I drew the clouds and added them as they just kind of finished it a bit better.  The image is roughly coloured with pencils as I thought if I made it too blended and nice it wouldn't fit the shabby look of the tag.

Thanks loads for looking, I would love to know what you think :)

I am also entering  in the following challenges

Bunny Zoe's - Girls Girls Girls
Always Crafting - Summer
Sentimental Sundays - Summer
Raise The Bar - Hello Summer
Polka Doodles - Summer
Craft Your Days Away - Bingo - I've done middle line horizontal
Our Creative Corner - Buttons & Bows/Burlap

A Pretty Little Thank You

This time next week I will be taking it easy recuperating after 2 surgeries on Friday, and I can't wait!  I am looking forward to feeling healthy again and knowing what each day is going to bring :)

I have been pottering today and made this card in my interpretation of Shabby Chic.  I am pretty unhappy with how my colouring turned out and I am definitely going back to colouring with my pencils on watercolour paper.  The image I have used is Thank You from Saturated Canary.  I copied POPS a little on this card as she does these really cool dots around her images with Liquid Pearls, I gave it a go but probably should have known better considering what a klutz I am, lets just say I had a major blob problem that had to be fixed then managed to get the image stuck to my elbow, arghhhhh.  It does look cool though and I will give this another go when my desk is less cluttered.

I used "Let Them Have Cake" papers from Raspberry Road and distressed with Jo Sonja Opal Dust and Picket Fence Distress Paint.  I have used a Marianne Design's die to cut the swirls under my flowers and a spellbinders die for the image and mat.

I am entering this in the following challenges......

Crafts and Me Challenges - Roses and Pearls
Crafty Anne's Challenge - It's a Girl Thing
Emergency Crafter's - Butterflies or things with Wings
Stampin for the Weekend - Bugs and butterflies
Stampin with the Dragon - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Punch Drunk
Little Miss Muffet - Loads Of Layers
PaperCrafting Journey - Colour it Up
Saturated Canary - Anything Goes

Thanks loads for calling by :)
