Show Your Glow for CSI

I have made this layout following the current CSI challenge.  I love doing these challenges as they really make you think about what you are putting on your layout.

I used my SC Block Party kit plus Pollard Avenue addon and also the printables from CSI

I am totally stoked with how this layout turned out.  The photo is from way back when I was full on pregnant with #3 in 2009 and DH took the boys to the Christmas parade in town.  I love #1's happy smile in this photo :)

For The Boys

This weeks Challenge is all about the "Boys" so we want to see a card for a Man or Boy, you may have both in your family so now's your chance to start creating. Of course our very generous sponsors are Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30.
But this is providing you have used one of their gorgeous products on your card, it can be a image, one of their corresponding papers (you must tell us which) or even a printable, all these are of very good value and you will find them here, so do go and browse for yourself and you might even pick up a special offer. And even if you haven't used them they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice. Well you really cannot loose can you?

Here is my card.....

I love how bright this card turned out.  I used a pre coloured image from The Paper Shelter and the papers are from Echo Parks "ABOUT A BOY" collection.  The sentiment stamps and punches are both from Stampin'Up.

Thanks loads for dropping by, be sure to enter our boys challenge :)

Show Some Flair Or Else Button Up!

Hahaha, I LURVE coming up with the challenge title over at Southern Girls, this one is VERY in your face lol.  Offended? Hope not.

Anyway we want you to use buttons badges or flair on your project for this challenge.  Our sponsors are exceptional this fornight too, YAY.

I used some fabby embellies from RETAIL GIRL/Louise Delore for my page.  She has the most scrummy trims, flowers and embellies make sure and go and check her out :)

Here is my layout...........

It's my #3 when she was but a smidge :) Wasn't she so sweet... well she still is actually.lol.  She is off at her kindy day today so now I have this posted it is off to do my huge Thursday cleanup, although I don't know why I bother because with four kiddies and a hubby who is not the most domestically inclined it will be a pigsty again by Saturday.  Although BONUS I won't be here to see it as I am off on a girls weekend away, my first weekend without the kids or hubby since I was first pregnant with #4 so about 2 years.  I am VERY excited.

Ok, well, make sure and come and play along with us at Southern Girls.

Domestic Goddess? hmmm not exactly.....

I made this layout from my January Studio Calico kit, yes I have only just broken it open and yes, I have only completed one layout.  These photos were taken on New Years Eve while I was making apricot jam and a gooseberry pie.  The title is ironic as I am far from a Domestic Goddess in way, shape or form ;)  However I like doing things like this with my mum so it was a nice way to spend New Years Eve plus I didn't feel shady the next day which is definitely a bonus.   I certainly don't miss hangovers from my misspent youth..

Everything I used on the layout is from the kit aprt from the alphas spelling out "goddess" they are plain chipboard ones from kaisercraft which I embossed with pipedream ink embossing powder.  I used one of my SU punches to do the notebook paper border.  I am not sure if the flair badge came from this kit or not. Also the washi is from my stash.

Thanks loads for coming by and leave me a comment so I can return the favor :)

200th Post Plus Birthday Blog Candy

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWER POSTS

I have just made my 200th post, WOWZERS!  Who would have thought back in 2004 when I started scrapping it would lead to this.
I have been really lucky to "meet" a whole heap of really fantastic people through this hobby/passion and be on some amazing Design Teams, one of which is THE PAPER SHELTER. I had been on the DT for a about a year when I stepped down last year due to having an operation and I didn't want to let the team down.  I really missed them all though, Veronica & Pedro and Shirley & Marie are so kind and supportive. So luckily when Shirley needed someone to fill in on the DT a few months ago I was stoked!  And now I am back on full time and SOOOOOOOOOOO happy.   And just by coincidence my 200th post is my DT post for TPS :) Also it is my birthday at the end of the month so all these excuses to have a celebration blog candy!

So I am going to give one lucky winner........

YAY!  See how much I love all my bloggy friends :)
