Scottie's Crafts - Eclectic Layout

Hi, today I would like to share a layout made with parts of papers I had leftover from other projects.  Once I had made a layout, a card and 5 project life cards I had a fair few part papers from the Santa's List collection left so I decided to make a fairly simple layout using them.
I used a full sheet of Reindeer Paper for my base.

I had a large piece of Bon Bon Paper so I used that to mat my photo.  I then had some smaller pieces that I used as strips under my photo along with the trim border from the reindeer paper.  I added some twine and stickers around the photo...

I journalled straight onto the photo with a white pen

I made up my title with some part packs of Thickers Alphas I had left over in my stash and need to be used.

Thanks loads for joining me today for my Tuesday post :)

Happy Scrapping.

Many Folds Card

This week at the Paper Shelter we want to see cards with lots of fancy folds.  I came up with this design myself to make the card as I wanted a larger card than any of the similar designs I could find.  I used Adorable Cowgirl for my image coloured with prismacolour pencils.

Santa's List Project Life Cards

Hi I am here today to share some cards I made for my December Daily album using Santa's List  Collection by Kaisercraft.  The cards could be used for Project life as well as they are standard sizes to fit in the Album Sleeves .

My first cards is a 4x6 title card.  I used Stocking  paper, a sticker from the 12x12  sticker sheet  and the presents from the collectables.  Other random bits and pieces are bakers twine, thickers and a jingle bell

My 3x4 cards are double sided.  One side is for journalling and the other is a filler, here is what they look like either side before embellishing....

And here are the finished cards.....

I used white cardstock along with scraps of papers from the Santa's List collection which I had left over from cards and a layout I made previously.  I matched the papers with items from the collection pack and stickers from the 12x12 sticker sheet.

Thanks loads for dropping by and happy scrapping :)

Santa's List Collection Layout for Scotties.

Hi I am here with a layout made with the new Santa's List Collection by Kaisercraft.  This is one of their new releases ready for your Christmas projects.

I started my layout with a sheet of white cardstock.  I placed a stencil over the corners and sprayed with mist, in the photo I have used a darker mist than what is on the layout to show detail better.....
I masked off the surrounding areas so the spray didn't go adrift where I didn't want it.  I flicked the cardstock with red and green mist on a paintbrush liberally all over the background....

You can see above that on the bottom left corner I have flicked the stencil over to get the reverse image while the mist was still wet.

Next I layered my papers and photos with a minimal amount of adhesive, just enough to keep things in place when I sew around the edges of the layers with a mix of zig zag and straight stitch with my machine.

Here is a close up of the stitching on the layers...

next I added my embellishments including stickers from the Santa's List sticker sheetSanta's List collectables and enamel dots.  The next part was a bit tricky but turned out looking fabulous.  I used my anti static pad over the cardstock in the areas where I placed the enamel dots, the I put a largeish dot of clear glue, I scooped up some stickles dry glitter and poured it  onto the wet glue....

Once they were dry they are clear and very shiny.....

And then the  finished product ......

Thanks loads for joining me today, be sure to drop by the Scottie's Shop and check out all the lovely new Christmas Collections,  happy scrapping :)

Back To School With The Paper Shelter

This week at The Paper Shelter Challenge we would like to see cards with a Back To School theme.  I have used Back to School digi image and the sentiment is cut from The Right Words - Back to School paper pack.......

I coloured my image with Distress Markers on Watercolour paper and the papers are Basic Grey Shine On.  The stars were punched using Stampin Up star punches.  And a Fiskars punch was used for the border.

Thanks loads for popping by my blog and I hope you join us for our challenge at The Paper Shelter :)

Magnolia Card for Scottie Crafts

Hi I am here today to share a Christmas card using a Magnolia stamp and gorgeous new Kaiser Craft Santa's List papers.  You will find a large selection of these stamps in the shop at Scotties and they are REALLY awesome to colour.  And the papers will be in store soon if they aren't already :)

Here is a step by step on how I put my card together....

I always cut my diecuts that I want to use on my card first as space is at a premium on my table and I hate having to move everything to get my cuttlebug out ;)  So I started by cutting BLITZEN out in plain white card, a decorative circle in red cardstock and my stamped image with a circle die.

Next I poured some Stickles Stardust dry glitter into my stamping tray in a pile, then got another tray ready with clear embossing powder. I put both within easy reach as I will need them quickly for the next step...

I took my die cut Blitzen and versmarked him, then coated it with the clear embossing powder and heated until melted, while the clear embossing powder was still wet I put the diecut wet side down into the glitter, I then repeated the process three times. At the end I had a very sparkly, smooth coated reindeer to add to my project.....

Next I took my image which had been stamped in stazon on watercolour paper (which had been diecut  previously) .....

I used a blending tool & Distress Ink in Barn Door and inked the edges of my diecut....

I then coloured my image with Distress Markers and a water pen....

Next I layered up my papers and image and added my reindeer diecut to my card base....

Then I added a sentiment which was made using the letterpress technique and gold spellbinder sentiments and pigment ink.  I added a selection of flowers to finish and here is my end result.....

Thanks loads for joining me here today and I hope you like my card.   Happy Scrapping :)
