The Fairy in My Garden Layout

My turn for my Scrapping Sunday spot over at The Stamp Spot has rolled around again, they never seem to come fast enough for me, I am loving creating layouts to share with you lovely The Stamp Spot followers.
Here is my layout for this fortnight............
I have used Prima stitched mulberry paper as the base for my photo of Jodie in the garden in her fairy outfit. I touched up the photo in photoshop quite a bit using some different layers and also I layered the same photo on top of the original and moved it slightly off so it gives the image a dreamy fuzzy look, perfect for fairies :)

Here is a close up of the stamps, which are also prima and also the ruby rocket rose ribbon which has been sprayed with mist to colour it to match the layout.
And lastly a close up of my photo and the stitching on the paper.

I have used all TSS April Spots on this layout, can you spot them?   See if you can and leave a comment with your answer in the comments.

Artfull Crafts - A Rather Sweet OTP

Hi, my project for Artfull crafts for this week is a cute little house decorated with the gorgeous Kaisercraft Fine & Sunny Collection.  The house is a chipboard kitset which was sent to me by Trace ( my partner in crime over at Southern Girls Challenge).  I had lots of fun picking which embellishments and papers to use on this project as there are loads of cute ones in the collection.

Here is the front of my house, the walls and roof are both from one piece of 12x12 RAINBOW paper.  I have added a sticker border along the bottom, stamped a pennant border from the fine & sunny stampset onto a paper from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad which is where the paper came from to make the flag.  The sun/clouds and the bird are from the layered chipboard pack.  The windows and doors?  Well I am sure they would look loads better if I had taken tech drawing at school.

This is my side view, not very interesting, so we will move on to the next pic..........

This is the back of the house, but totally cute to boot! I used stickers to cover the yukky brown back of the layered Chipboard sun on the roof and also the apple tree is a sticker.  Again the stamped pennants and layered chipboard birdhouse and bird.

So that is it, a cute little project to sit on shelf in a childs room as a cute decoration.

The Stamp Spot - April Spot Layout

By now I hope you all know what the April spots are, if not I have added them for you :)
I hope you are all having a Happy Easter, my Easter Sunday has been pretty full on with Church, Easter Egg Hunts and stacking firewood.

So here is my layout of my school boys.......

I have used NO cardstock on this layout which is a change for me.  I have stitched around the papers with my machine after distressing the edges with a distresser and ink.  I have added a little cluster of embellishments which include a star punched from OHP film, a badge, a journal sticker and canvas sprayed with mist.

Well that's it from me, have a Happy Easter Monday tomorrow!

Part of the process layout

I have a layout to share with you today  This layout is about my son Angus finishing Kindy and celebrating his graduation.  All the children have a special party when they are going to school and Angus had his earlier this week as next term he starts at school.
I have called the layout "Part of the Process" as his kindy teacher Sam was a little upset about Angus finishing as she is pregnant and those lovely pregnancy hormones are rushing around, as they do. She told Angus she would miss him and was a little sad about him leaving Kindy, Angus kindly patted her on the arm and said "It's Ok Sam, it's just part of the process". I am sure she was cheered up considerably by that!lol.
So here is my layout..........

I have used papers from "Celebrate Collection" by Authentique, Black cardstock, White Cardstock, Authentique Stickers, AC Thickers letters and a piece of shaped white cardstock that I have had for ages. I also used a corner rounder.

Here is a close up of the journalling.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter and remember to give a little thanks to Jesus because if it wasn't for Jesus, we wouldn't be having a break. Happy Easter!

A Few Things..........

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO freaking glad daylight savings is over.

I have a lovely new Vacuum cleaner, it has a very sucky motor.lol

I hate when my hubby stays away for work.

I am very stoked with Andrew's birthday pressie to me, a lovely new rotary cutter, I bought it for myself today with his money as a belated present.  I am smitten!  With both the cutter and my husband <3

I bought some gorgeous fabric today, however no sewing until DT commitments are done for the next 2 weeks.

I dislike my huge folding pile!

I am loving "Once Upon A Time"  it rocks my world.

The Midwife of Venice is great book if you are looking for a good read.
