Millie Layout - Simple Stories Vintage Bliss - Scotties

Hi, I am here with you this morning to share a layout using Vintage Bliss by Simple Stories.

I started with a sheet of white cardstock then layered on a prima stencil and sprayed with a light blue mist to create my background.

I then cut out some elements from a few pieces of the Vintage bliss Journal card paper to put around my photo....

I used a piece of  May Arts Ivory Net under my title to add texture....

I cut out a few cuts of Memory Box Lavish Branch die and also placed them around my photo along with a butterfly brad from the Vintage Bliss Brad pack .

The layout turned out pretty flat but looks really textured due to the layering around the photograph and stencilled background.

Happy scrapping :)

Imagine - Simple Stories Vintage Bliss for Scottie Crafts

I think I am in love, with a new paper collection that is.  Vintage Bliss is so lovely and the colours are stunning.  I am really loving creating layouts with this line.  I have designed a very girly one this week to share using lots of bits and pieces from the shop......

I made my photo sepia in PSE9 before I printed as the colours in the photo would have clashed with the papers.

I then cut out the elements I wanted to use from Vintage Bliss Quotes, Bingo and Journal papers and mated them with white cardstock.  I also cut my background paper Big Smile so that it could also be matted onto white cardstock.   I then moved them around until I was happy with the placement.

I circled the numbers that were the photo date on the bingo card, lucky for me they were in one corner ;)  I added a wooden flourish bird by Kaisercraft which I have painted with Tim Holtz Distress Paint in Picket Fence .  I added some gorgeous Prima mini roses in Spring.

I went around the photo with a length of matching bakers twine  and tied a bow to join the ends.  i then added a flair badge in the corner

Thanks loads for joining me today and I hope my layout inspires your creativity.
Happy scrapping :)

The Paper Shelter Shabby Chic

This week at The Paper Shelter our theme is Shabby chic.  I used one of the newer Christmas designs for my card "Christmas Candy Fairy".

Sorry this is a short post but I am feeling a bit "meh" and don't want to end up putting my feelings on here. Thanks for dropping by.

Scotties Crafts - My 3 Boys Layout

Hi, this week for scottie's crafts I have made this layout using papers from the Vintage Bliss Collection by Simple Stories .....
The papers are really pretty and quite feminine so I challenged myself to make a boys layout :)  I started by cutting the photo panel from Page Elements paper and then trimed the top part off as it was too top heavy and my instax photos hung off the bottom...

I realigned and adhered to my page along with a strip of Be Happy  paper top and bottom, the bottom strip I punched with a border punch......

I added sprinkles of paint spray on my white cardstock background and I
I then sewed around all my papers and also over the string on the banner with black thread....

I then took out my Couture Creations Cool Things stamp set  I carefully cut the words and the heart out on the corner word stamp as I wont ever probably use it as a corner stamp but I will use the words and the heart.  Plus if I ever need to I can put it back together on the block and stamp it as it is meant to be.  I inked the stamps up with pigment ink.....

Then stamped them onto silver washi tape......

I then added the heart stamped in between the words and dried with my heat gun...

I stuck the washi down on the bottom strip and added my title with black alpha stickers.  I also added enamel dots where I had sprayed earlier....

I hope my layout provided some inspiration :)
