haha, excuse my crappy pun but this cushion is totally cute. I got the pattern from HERE and it was designed by Ashley Johnston whose blog Make it - Love it, I follow with a passion :)
So here is my take on Ashley's Owl Cushion......
I have made the base with the material left over from making Jodie's curtains so the owl matches her room :)
Here is Jodie testing how cushiony her new cushion actually is.... obviously VERY comfortable judging by the smile.
And here is Zippy being shown the owl cushion and looking suitably impressed for a 4 month old.......
So there it is, hope you like it. If you do be sure to leave me some love <3

Some Sewing Cards..........
Have you been to the Artfull Craft webshop and seen the bag a bargain packs????? If not you should definitely check them out. My first 2 cards are made with Cosmo Cricket (one of my very favourite companies) Material Girl papers and my sewing machine.
aren't they cute! I also used my sewing machine on paper (arghhhhhhhhh) a personal first for me as I always feared wrecking my precious sewing machine, but now I have started, I LOVE IT! I worked out you still need to backstitch just like on fabric.
Next up is a lil' primrose card, made with a 6.5x6.5 pad. The flowers are from my stash and the leaves were punched. The cage and bird were cut on my cricut.
You can see I made this card before I discovered the joys of "real" sewing, although the faux stitching looks great too and is very therapeutic when we are nearing the end of the school holidays :)

A Little behind with my Scrapbooking
As you can tell from the date on this layout, I have some catching up to do. I really love this photo of my boys, they were VERY excited that Christmas, not just about Santa, also because they were waiting for their new baby sister to arrive. Both boys had been very good at keeping it a secret that we were going to get a little girl and when this photo was taken we were waiting very patiently as Jodie was due to arrive. Until recently this photo was framed on my wall but I have made a framed photo collection thing on our lounge room wall and needed the frame for another photo. I didn't want this photo getting wrecked so I thought I had better get it on a layout.

Jodie's Apple Dress
I love going into Spotlight and looking at the quilting cottons, such pretty colours and gorgeous prints. Although I don't quilt I will some times but a metre to make something cute like this....
Thus is Jodie's "Apple Dress" I made it for her to wear on Christmas Day, best of all she loves it. Which is always nice when you have spent time making something for your kids :) I used New Look #6662 Size A.
here she is giving a few twirls modelling her new favourite dress.

5 Of The Best
I am doing a little post to aplly for a DT call and I need to put 5 of my best projects up for them to have a look at. Hmmmm narrowing it down to 5 could be difficult as I always think the projects that I have fun making are my best, but then what I love and other people love is completely different. So here are my 5 favourite projects <3
This one I made for a Valentines Challenge at SGC ( mine and Trace's challenge blog :) ) It uses a Tickled Pink image. I loved colouring this image which I altered in PSE7 as it is a full body image.
My pretty little bauble which is one everyone else loved when I put it on my blog, I prefered the one with buttons but I have to keep my readers happy xox
And last but certainly by no means least a layout of my boy Angus, I love this photo and love this layout as I am MAD on stars!
Righty well that wraps up my fav 5, hope you enjoyed looking at them as much as I enjoyed making them.
First up, a white with one card that I did for a challenge using a Mo Manning "alice" image, I love how this turned out and it was my first time taking something like this on as usually I love lots of colour. So a deffinite step outside the box but one I thoroughly enjoyed.

The Art Journal cover on my SILs birthday pressie, which took AGES with all drying time but I really enjoyed making.

Holy Moly Batman!!!!!!!!
Firstly, I have noticed I hit 10000 visits to my blog, YAY. Feeling so popular, now if I could just get a few more followers (hint hint. lol) I used to have over 200 followers but then my blog broke and I had to move and I lost all my lovely followers, boo hoo.
Now onto my layout..... I recently discovered the blog of the very talented Marcy Penner, I saw her scrapbooking and thought how very cool it looked and also how fast a page could be whipped up. Then on our super secret ACDT facebook page Marcy Penner got mentioned. I challenged my fellow Artfull Craft DTer Sandy to a wee challenge, we both have to do a layout Marcy Penner style. This is mine...........
I got my inspiration from THIS LAYOUT by Marcy. I am super (get it?? lol) happy with how it turned out and I think I may have to adapt this style to my style, you know what I mean merge kind of, and get LOTS more scrapping done. Oh BTW you will probably notice that Marcy uses lots of sewing on her pages, well I won't be, I am far too obsessive compulsive about my sewing machine to use it on paper so my trusty stapler will have to do :)

Fun with Modge Podge
I have had another busy week with it being the School Holidays but I have still managed to sneak away and get a few things made to ease my crafting bug. Although with my SIL's birthday in a week or so I had the perfect excuse. She loves pink and pale green so the new collection from KaiserCraft "Lil Primrose" is just perfect for her. I have been harping on at her that she needs to start sending me her pictures as she draws adorable little animals and gorgeous flowers and I think they would make fabulous digital stamps, so give her a little motivation I have made her an Art Journal to put them in. Once she has a few together I will get her organised to get them into files and start her an etsy shop.
Firstly here is her Birthday card......
I have used a selection of papers from the Lil Primrose 6x6 paper pad, cute frilled Gingham ribbon, prima innocence 2 flower, oval spellbinder nesties, distress ink and a KaiserCraft Lil Primrose stamp all available from Artfull Crafts.
The chipboard is some I won from Kellie's Blog when she was doing a 12 Days Of Christmas giveaway, and the other flowers are from my stash. I coloured the image with prisma pencils.
I am entering this card in the following challenges...
Annabelle Stamps - Anything Goes
Cardmakin Mamas - Happy New Year
Crafty Catz Weekly challenge - Use Something New
Polkadoodles - Vintage/Retro
Now the Art Journal......
Again I used papers from the Lil Primrose 6x6 Pad. I fussy cut some flowers from one of the sheets on both the art journal and the card. I used Glimmermist on the lovely Prima resist canvas (teapot and butterfly), I cut out the label and the word "CREATE" on my cricut. there is 1/4 of a container of modge podge on here too, which is why the project took days instead of a few hours as I had to wait for layers to dry before moving onto the next one.
I am entering my art journal in the following challenges.....
Frosted Designs - Paint
Delicious Doodles - All things new
Fairytale Challenge blog - all things new
Simply Create too - Layers
Well that's me for now, hope you found a little inspiration. xox

The Paper Shelter Design Team Call
There is currrently a design team call for the Paper Shelter. We would like to add seven, yes seven (7) new members to our teams, we have two of them. Shirley leading team A and Marie leading the B team. We are sadly loosing a few of our dear members and have to replace them, then we want to add a few more.
The call is up for 2 weeks and ends 24th of January. You don't need to have any experience of being on a team and we are looking for all kind of crafters that can incorporate digital images in their crafting. So this is what you need to be able to do for us.

What you need to do to apply to the team
- As we work with digital images we like you to use a digi for your application card. It doesn't have to be new and it doesn't have to be a TPS image even if we would love to see you use them.
- Your colouring skills needs to be excellent and that is one of the main things we are looking at for our new design team members.
- Please don't cover up your creation in too much decorations for this application, we really love to see your colouring!
This is what you need to be able to to regulary for the challenge blog
- We feel that everyone deserves at least two comments each from the DT, so every second week you have to do your commenting in time. We have a comment rota, two numbers for each team member.
- You need to be able to post your card in time both on the DT blog and on you own. (Yes, you do need to have your own blog and post on it regulary, at least once per week).
- You need to be able to work with digital images as well as digital designer papers as the Paper Shelter produces both of these products. They Shelter does also provide pre coloured images and once in a while it's good if you use them as well.
The design team term is from 8th of February and ends 31st of July with the posibillity to stay on.
