And seeing as how everytime I use a precoloured image I get loads of comments about my fabulous colouring skills (which shows people never read my posts as I always say "I have used a precoloured image) here is my ACTUAL colouring........

ReplyDeleteI saw your post on SCS and I like the toothy texture of the pencil on watercolor paper! I think people stress the smooth shading too much since Copics came out, we try to achieve that perfectly blended look with mineral spirits when scribbled and shaded pencil has a completely different charm all it's own!

ReplyDeleteI just read your post on SCS and followed your link. I like paper with "tooth" for colored pencils over the smooth look myself. I'm not fond of color that sits on top of paper so your coloring is right up my alley. Love the built-in texture of the water color paper; it really gives this card more dimension. As for the blending I think it looks great and adds rather than subtracts. Very cute girl, is that stamp still available in stores? She's so cute!

ReplyDeleteThis card has inspired me to do more coloring of my own. I love the vibrant colors, the use of textured paper, and the way you pulled it all together with your choice of embellishments. You should definitely do more like this!

ReplyDeleteIsn't she cute as can be! I just got my first Gorguss stamp and I like them. Great colouring on your little gal and your flowers and lace are so pretty along the side.
