OMG - Uninked Stamp Stash

I have been very industrious lately sorting my stamps and putting the ones I want to keep into clear CD cases and putting the ones I want to sell aside for listing on trade me. Well while I was beavering away I discovered a whole clear doco file (how I stored previously) full of uninked Gorjuss Girls.  Holy Moly what on earth was I up to?????  I have quickly remedied that and stamped off a few on watercolour paper.
Here is the first card I have created using one of these cuties.........

And seeing as how everytime I use a precoloured image I get loads of comments about my fabulous colouring skills (which shows people never read my posts as I always say "I have used a precoloured image) here is my ACTUAL colouring........
This is coloured using prismacolor pencils and polychromos pencils with mineral spirits for blending on watercolour paper.
The shadow is copic markers N0 & N2
Papers are MME

I am entering my card in the following challenges ( got to love Feline Playful<3 )

  2. I saw your post on SCS and I like the toothy texture of the pencil on watercolor paper! I think people stress the smooth shading too much since Copics came out, we try to achieve that perfectly blended look with mineral spirits when scribbled and shaded pencil has a completely different charm all it's own!

  9. I just read your post on SCS and followed your link. I like paper with "tooth" for colored pencils over the smooth look myself. I'm not fond of color that sits on top of paper so your coloring is right up my alley. Love the built-in texture of the water color paper; it really gives this card more dimension. As for the blending I think it looks great and adds rather than subtracts. Very cute girl, is that stamp still available in stores? She's so cute!
