Studio Calico - Central High Kit layouts x 2

Hi, hope everyone is having a smashingly good weekend :)  I am, I have been playing with my kiddies with their trainset and also doing a bit of crafting.  I have made 2 layouts today from my first SC kit, I am pretty impressed even though it isn't really colours or papers I would pick it has put me out of my comfort zone and I am really enjoying it.

Here is my first layout made with the SC Central High Kit, which has a photo of my boys watching the top dressing plane flying fert on next door, I like the background paper on this and I used papers from the 6x6 studio calico pad that came as part of the SC Central High Card Kit.  There are also items from the Capital avenue add on.

The second layout has photos of my hubby's birthday cupcakes being consumed :0)  They certainly enjoyed them from what I can remember.

Thanks loads for coming by my blog and I would love to know what you think of my layouts.

Hi, here today with another layout using this months TSS challenge spots. I am so happy to see this wonderful Spring weather :) I took my two littlest to my Mum and Dad's to take some photos with their magnificent cherry blossom in the back ground. I got quite a few really great shots but this one of Jodie is on of my favourites....

I hope those of you in the Southern Hemisphere are enjoying the warmer weather and getting out and about to enjoy it. Thanks loads for visiting and don't forget to get creating and join our Challenge Spots challenge for this month.

I am so super excited I am off to get my hair cut tomorrow, YAYYYYYYYYYYYY I haven't had it cut for about 3 years I think, before I had Jodie anyway. And look how big she is now!
Hopefully I will get a good pic so I can put it up on here tomorrow :)

Crawl Layout Revisited

Ok, so a couple of weeks ago over a Red Carpet Studio the challenge was to make a layout with NO WORDS, for my DT obligation I made a layout of Will and his first time crawling.  BUT everytime I went near his album it bugged the s#$t out of me that it had no title or date or anything, wah.   So I have had a remodel and I am now loads happier :)  So here is the new and improved version......

The papers are from Kaiser Craft, the cardstock is Bazzil, Thickers for the title, washi tape, flag from Basic Grey (I think?) star cut on my cricut using George & basic shapes and a spellbinders packet, flair button from Evalicious.

I am entering this layout in the Challenge Me Happy challenge - make your own embellishment.  I hope it counts as an entry as when I saw what their challenge was I made sure that the remodel had a DIY embellie, but if not nevermind :)

And there you have it, I am loads happier as I now feel like my layout is complete.

Red Carpet Studio - Seeing Stars Sketch

This week at RCS  we have a sketch challenge for you, I love sketches because everybody comes up with something different and original, it is fun to see all the different takes.

Here is my layout......

The photo's are from Angus' first day at school earlier this year, crikey he is a photogenic little bugger, he always has been, he certainly doesn't get that from me.

Here are all the challenge details.......
Our challenge this week is a layout sketch challenge - create a layout inspired by the following sketch!

Special thanks to Heather from Cricut Inspired Layouts for letting us use her sketch!

Stars are all over Hollywood... whether they are celebrities, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, or in the sky! We thought it would be fun to provide you with a fun, movie-themed sketch (notice the Title and Sub-Title features along with the arrows representing 'play' buttons) for this week's challenge!

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Scraptastical Kreations! They are giving away a $15 gift certificate to the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge.
Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the card design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the submissions and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions. The spotlight submissions, along with the random winner, will be announced on Tuesday September 18th and will receive a special badge for their blogs. Challenges run from Sunday - Saturday evening, and winners are always announced the Tuesday after the challenge ends in order for the design team to have enough time to vote.

The Stamp Spot - Handy Little Clipboard

Hi, I am here today to share a practical and useful project with, plus it has The Stamp Spot September Challenge Spots.

This little clipboard has a magnetic back so it stays on the fridge and comes in handy for school notices, receipts etc.  This came as a pre-made project but you could easily make your own using chipboard, sticky magnetic sheets and a bulldog clip.

I decorated using patterned papers, stickers and some brads.  Thanks loads for having a look at my project and I hope you will give one of these a go for yourself, they are quick and easy to make and you will find lots of uses for one.

Hope you are having a great weekend :)

Have a great weekend :)
