For a little while I have been dabbling in art journalling, I don't share on here because it is a pretty personal journey for me in my little book.
I have however joined a swap on Creative Dreams facebook page with other like minded ladies :) I am pretty excited about it.
Here is the first page in my Journal which has been sent to Mosgiel to start it's 12 month journey....
I love getting inky and messy, unfortunately the pages behind suffer but I guess that is the price we pay ;)
Thanks loads for looking

Quick and Easy Blast Off! Cards for Scottie Crafts.
I have a post today about how to whip up 2 cards in a hurry, very handy when you actually only need one card and you can put one aside for next time you have a card emergency.
I started with a sheet of 12x12 Coredinations Cardstock in Valentine and 2 peices of Pattered paper from the Kaisercraft Blast Off! Collection Milky Way & Gravity.
I cut 2 panels from the milky way paper measuring 9.5cm x 14.5cm.....
I cut my 12x12 cardstock into 2 A5 peices and kept my offcuts aside
I folded my A5 pieces in half to make 2 standard sized cardbases....
I then adhered my Milky Way panels to the front of the card bases.....
next I cut 2 of the 3x4 panels from the gravity paper.....
I matted them with the offcuts from my 12x12 cardstock that I put aside earlier and punched a border on the large side with a border punch and cut the panels to size....
I then adhered the border to the fold side of the card.....
I then stuck my panels down to front of the cards.....
I added a diecut from the Blast Off! Collectables pack to one of the cards and they are all finished.....
Thanks so much for popping by the blog today and I hope I inspired you to make some quick cards of your own.

Holiday Time at The Paper Shelter
This week at the paper Shelter we want to see cards with a holiday theme. Here is my DT card sample....
The image is A Rereshing Drink coloured with prismapencils on watercolour paper. I used my most favourite papers to date The sweetest thing, tangerine by My Minds Eye. I clustered a collection of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts in the corner and tied a bow with some raffia I was sent by Mani :) It matches the papers perfectly.
Thanks so much fro dropping by and I hope you will join in the challenge and be in to win a voucher from the Paper Shelter.

Zonked Layout For Scottie's Crafts
Hi I'm here with you today with another layout from the Kaisercraft Blast Off! collection, for scottie's craft. I am really enjoying designing with this collection with it's bright colours and cute elements.
I have used orbit as my background paper on this layout, with the theme of my photo the stars on the navy are a perfect match. I added lots of paint splodges and flicks using distress paint in picket fence....
I then cut my strips of paper from planet and galaxy and affixed them to my photo and my large mat which was cut from Launch paper. I cut strips for may layers as it saves paper and they are also easier to remove and restick if you get the placement wrong which I frequently do....
I then stuck my layers down to my background and added my title and some blast off! collectables around the photo. I also used a part of a strip of a sticker border off the blast off! sticker sheet. I went around the layers and some of the collectables with stickles glitter glue in stardust.....
And the finished product.........

Blast off Card for Scotties Crafts
My oldest son turns 8 next month and thought the Blast Off collection was perfect to make him a card for his birthday.
I started by cutting my Blast Off! Outer Space panel to size and then cut down a piece of coredinations cardstock for the base. Next I chose which images I wanted to use out of the Blast Off! Collectables pack. I raised the Martian with some pop dots to make him stand out from the base a bit....
Next I cut some Spellbinders Shape Gold Sentiments for the "Happy Birthday" from the coredinations cardstock by running it through my cuttlebug. I sanded the raised parts to make the words standout.....
I cut an 8 out on my Cricut using Opposites Attract cartridge. You can see a piece of washi on one of the layers as my mat is becoming a bit worse for wear so I use tape to keep the cardstock on the mat when the machine is cutting....
I added a button and Bakers Twine to finish the card and it turned out not too bad for a quick and easy card :)
Thanks loads for looking :)

No Not the F Word, The Letter F!
This week at Southern Girls it's all about things beginning with F, like flowers, fairies, flipflops, fantasy, fun, friends and fathers for example. I used flowers as these photos on my layout are of my big school boys on Daffodil day last year. The school has a mufti day to raise money for the caner foundation and facepainting was about as far as we got with the theme of Yellow and Green. I will try to be better organised this year.
I used my Noel Mignon "Here Come's Summer" kit for this layout and it came together really quickly....
I love how well the photos and the kit go together for this :)
Hope you will come and join us for our F challenge

My Littlest Monster for Scottie Crafts
Exciting day for me today :) My first post for Scottie Crafts as a DT member.....
I am so behind with my scrapbooking about my youngest son so I was excited to use these Blast Off!collection papers and collectables by KaiserCraft. The colours are perfect for an active little boy.
I decided to make a grungy background and the photos are less than perfect and I wanted the page to be cohesive.
I made my background using Checker Plate stamp also by KaiserCraft. I sprayed the stamp with 2colourmists and stamped straight onto my layout.....
I also spackled the layout with a darker mist to add a bit of interest and a link between the blocks of colour.
I used three papers from the collection, Launch, Planet and Galaxy and clustered the collectables.
Thanks loads for looking :)
