Mixed Media Gift Tins

I have decided to give handmade pressies to the females in my family this year.  I had lots of pencil tins lying around that i used to keep my prisma pencils in so I thought they would make an ideal starter point.  Here is what they looked like before their makeovers....

And here are a few of the finished tins ready to be filled with gift cards, personalised noteooks etc...

They are all quite different as I have made each one with a certain person in mind. They are all gessoed and then a layer of texture paste has been added using a stencil.  Once dry I have coloured them up with Tattered Angels glimmermist and glimmerglam.  Once I was happy with the base I started to add my papers and flowers and also some prima mistables.  I have then spritzed the flowers with Heidi Swap gold spray as it is by far the "goldiest" spray I have found to date.  I would love to know what you think so please leave me a comment.

Happy scrapping,
Lou

They are gorgeous Lou. Such a lovely idea I am sure the girls will be blown away.

P.S Lindy's Stamp Gang, Glitz Spritz, Dessert Moon Blazing Sun. Thats If you can find it here, is my favourite Gold, its really pretty and leaves a subtle sparkly gold finish on any colour.
