I have had a pretty ho hum week so I have found myself doing a lot more colouring than usual as a sort of tension release.
I have been doing heaps of alcohol marker colouring but today I decided to break out my prismacolor pencils. I usually only colour with my pencils on textured type papers but I already had Marguerite Daisies printed on Gina K luxury paper so I decided to just colour her up. All things considered she turned out pretty well, I haven't used my pencils in ages plus the flat paper.
I am going to have to do something about those flower middles in retrospect, maybe put some buttons in them or enamel dots. I will think about that.
The papers are a mix of MME and Fancy pants. The large flowers are prima from AGES ago and the cherry blossoms are wild orchid. The sentiment is an SU one from quite some time ago.
Thanks so much for dropping by and visiting my blog :) Happy Scrapping!

The East Wind Intsa DT News
I am stoked to announce that I have been chosen by Unky to be on THE EAST WIND Insta DT :) As may or may not be aware I have a large obsession with Instagram so taking pics of Unky's gorgeous illustrations and posting them on IG and blogging about them will be no major hardship at all ;)
Here is my first The East Wind image which I am in the process of colouring, a very different hair colour scheme for me but that is what art is all about...

Fresh Starts and New Beginnings with Southern Girls Challenge
SGC are back today after our Summer/Christmas break. And boy have the DT outdone themselves. Make sure and go and check out all the projects on the Challenge Blog.
I have made a card for my darling girl who starts school this year (sob) using Lacy Sunshine Rory time to colour. I watercoloured the background with spray inks and a water brush then stamped random images in black memento ink....
My image is coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and foam mounted on the card.
I added some bits and pieces to break things up a little, the misted arrow is from studio calico and the heart button and stickers are from my stash.
Thanks so much for dropping by today and be sure to come and join in over at Southern Girls to be to win some awesome prizes from Paper doll and Lacy Sunshine.

Tiddly Inks Are The Bee's Knees
Sooooooo...... after a year and a half break from serious DT work I have decided that with only my youngest at home full time it might be time to throw my hat in the ring for a few DT calls. Although in saying that I am only going to try out for companies I love and that totally inspire me. One of those companies is Tiddly Inks, I have always loved Christy's illustrations and I thought I might as well have a go since the Tiddly Inks team are looking for a few new designers.
I have made a card using Happy Bee Day, she is so sweet and when you purchase her you get some very cool extras :)
I coloured her with Spectrum Noir markers on Watercolour paper. If you follow my blog you will know that I am just switching to these markers, due to cost and availability, from copics. I noticed today that with the SN markers on watercolour paper you can't oversaturate like you can with copics. I was having trouble with the blending on the face so I went over a few times to get a better blend BUT the paper started to pill, just a warning for those of you out there starting out with these like me :) I managed to fix it without too much drama but the paper is definitely rough in that area. I used my FAVOURITE MME paper, Sweetest Thing Tangerine. I actually finished the 6x6 pad, BUT luckily I still have another 3 phew ;)
Here is a close up of the image....
I printed my sentiment in word and punched out with some oval punches. I finished off the card with some twine, liquid pearls and heart confetti punch outs.
I am so in love with this card and know exactly who i am going to send it off to.
Thanks loads for visiting and happy scrapping ( or cardmaking lol )
