With finishing up on lots of the Design Teams I was on for 2015 I have time to scrapbook again which is really exciting for me, especially considering it was my first paper crafting love and what got me started down this crazy road.
I took some photos of 2 of my kids splashing around in the pool they got for Christmas with my Instax and while the photos are a bit crap and overexposed they definitely capture the fun my children were having so I decided to scrap them.
With it being a while since I actually have done any scrapbooking I really needed a start point so I googled some scrapbooking challenge and found this sketch...
at Stuck Sketches, I liked that I could use some summery papers I had on my desk with it.
And here is my finished page....
I really like how playful and sunshiney this layout turned out.
Hope you enjoy it too :)

What great Christmas fun, Lou! I can see your kids are loving their gift. Beautiful work on this sensational layout!
ReplyDeleteIt was almost warm enough here in Texas for swimming on Christmas Day. Today is another story, though!

ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful SB page! I love the minimal DP- just a spash of color, and the drips and splats of color you added. Plus, the pics are darling : )
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks amazing!! I love the bright summery colours and patterns!!I love the misting and splatters that you've done on the background too! Thanks so much for playing along with us Stuck?! Sketches!
ReplyDeleteUtterly LOVE this layout Lou. I so have to spend some time just 'playing' this year. It's been all business and no pleasure in 2015 with all we've had going on. I'm so looking forward to just have some 'playtime' in my craft room this year. I really want to learn how to make gorgeous layouts like this. So inspiring hunny. Hugs, Wends x
