This fortnight Team Lou are up over at Southern Girls Challenge and for this one it is a nice easy Anything Goes Challenge.
I have decided to share my "Thought's On 40" layout which I did as my kit swap at last months Otane Crafts Scrapbooking Swap.
The photos were taken on my 40th birthday which was a day I had been dreading for MONTHS.
Turned out it wasn't so bad.
I was building it up to be some horrible day but it was just the same as any other and I still feel the same as I did when I was 30, just with a bit more life experience and less tolerance for dickheads.
I also couldn't really give a fat rats arse what people think or say about me anymore.
I have friends, really good friends and they and my family know me and that is what matters and if other people think I am not good enough to talk to or want to talk about me, whatever.
I am happy with who I am, I love my family, I care about my friends and I have a great life :)
So there you have my thoughts on 40. LOL
I hope you will come over and join us at the challenge and play along
Lou.
Hehe Lou! I nearly spat my coffee all over my pooter! I thought the comments about 'lower tolerance for dickheads' was funny, because there's a shirt that I've wanted to buy for Greg for the longest time that says something pretty much exactly along those lines! But the 'Fat Rats Arse', hehe, that was the coffee moment. Went up my nose! LOL. You my darling, are gold, pure, unsmelted, precious gold! Don't let anyone ever try to change you. 40 is meh, just another age, embrace life as you always have. You've got the right attitude! Luv ya babe. Hugs, Wends x (Your layout is gorgeous BTW! Love the viewfinder die and the glittery thickers. Perfect!)
ReplyDeleteI love this wonderful page, and better yet, your write up is great. Wait until you turn 50, you really could not give a care at all about what others say- whatever....! It is the best decade yet! Loving the page you created and love your attitude- love yourself!!! We should know each other better : )
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun layout!

ReplyDeleteGreat layout and I sure do love your thoughts on 40. I'm now 60, so add 20 years to those thoughts and you've got me, LOL
