The Paper Shelter Celebration Blog Hop

Good Evening fellow crafters and welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop and this is in celebration of their reaching their 8th Birthday on December 8th. It will be a two week Challenge and both Design Teams are taking part.

The Hop is our way of inviting you to join in with us and this one is a  "BIRTHDAY/ CELEBRATIONS" theme, which I know is extremely popular!!!! If you have landed here from(previous person's blog) then you're heading in the right direction - if not then you'll want to head on back to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to start again, as you'll not want to miss out on this one! Our Design Teams have worked very hard and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter Website and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice as well as the main prize, details of which are on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot.

Hopefully you have arrived here from Danny's Blog
If not or you need to head there now :)

Or if you had no idea that there was even a blog hop head back to the Paper Shelter Challenge Blog

And here is my card for the Celebration Blog hop...

I love Christmas and it really is a big celebration for our family and our extended family.
So I decided to share my love of all things Christmas, including tangled lights, with this card.
I used What A Mess with the picture coloured in copics and the background coloured with watercolour pens and paint

I am completely stoked with how it came out and more excited as it means my poor bg11 marker will get a break from doing backgrounds now.

I also added glossy accents to all the little lights and the baubles on the tree just to add a bit of interest to the image and make it more three dimensional.

From here you will need to hop on over to Susie's Blog.
Don't forget to leave your comment for a chance of winning your choice of one of the fab digis available in store.
Hop! Hop! Hop!

Good luck and hope you're enjoying it so far.

Music and Dance With The Paper Shelter

Hi!!!!
Thanks for popping into my Blog.

I a sharing my design team card for The Paper Shelter with you today.
This weeks theme is Music and Dance.

I have used
Spirit of the Woods
I am not sure what is going on with my camera but IRL the colours on this card are a lot more vibrant.
I coloured the image with copic markers.
And since it is pretty clean and simple there isn't much more to tell you about it so I will talk about the white cardstock....
Until recently I always used Gina K brand cardstock, but then I ran out and decided to have a look at other options that weren't going to kill me in shipping.
I bought some papers that are specifically designed for alcohol markers from a few different shops here in NZ.
Then my friend Trace asked me if I had tried the Warehouse Stationary cheap stuff.
I said no so she sent me some, when I say some I am talking a pack of 250 sheets!
I better like it I thought, but if not it would be useful for card bases.....
Well I love it!!!!!
And at only $35 for 250 sheets it is an absolute bargain
I can get my blending as good as I can on expensive paper, and because of the price I don't freak out if I stuff up an image when I am stamping YAY
So yep there you have it, a bit of a tip there for you NZ marker chickies out there.

Thanks loads for dropping by

Rainbow Unicorn Wishes with Bizzy Bec's

Hi I am here today with a quick, easy and super cute birthday card to share.

I stamped my unicorn, from Stamping Bella Set of Unicorns, onto Spectrum Noir White cardstock ad coloured her using copic markers.

I then fussy cut her out and set aside

Next I cut a piece of Spectrum Noir white cardstock to 13x8cm.
I then mounted my sentiment from Avery Elle Big Greetings to my stamp block.
To get the rainbow I gently rolled each part of  stamp onto my different coloured dye ink pads, making sure to blend the edge of the last colour into the new colour.
I then huffed on it as it takes a little time and I wanted it to still be wet.
I centered the sentiment and stamped.
This is the first time I have tried this and it turned out pretty well.
I have since re-inked my red ink pad.
I then stamped the small stars around the sentiment and adhered my unicorn.

I hope you will try this rainbow effect for yourselves as it is a lot of fun.

Thanks for stopping by
Lou

Hi, this week at The Paper Shelter Challenge
or theme is EASTER.

There are so many fantastic Easter images in the shop it was hard to pick just one to use for the challenge.

I ended up choosing Charmy Bunny after much deliberation.
I did fully intend to colour up the image unfortunately I have had a pretty horrendous couple of weeks with one thing and another so ended up using the lovely pre coloured image.

Hi, I am here with you today to share a little bunny love with the
ultra cute Bunny Stuffies Stamp by Stamping Bella.

I love this stamp as it is perfect for EVERYTHING!
And with Valentines coming up it would work perfectly too.
