Last of February Projectlife

Today I sharing my last 2 pages for Feb - One thing I love about PL is that it is about our day to day lives, not just layouts about the important stuff.  Although it can mean I don't scrap the important stuff anymore and I really must remedy that.

I have used mostly the Coral Projectlife corekit for these pages and added bits out of my stash from Studio Calico and lots of alpha stickers that come on the 12 x 12 sheets from MME & Fancy Pants.  

I have noticed a very bright theme coming out in my pages and I have decided to just go with the eclecticness of the pages together in my album and live with it, because I mean really in a life with four kids, a hubby and mad cat nothing is really ever the same each day ;)

Art Journal Dabbles

I have been having a bit of a try with with Art journaling as I am involved in a circle swap.  I am totally loving the experience.  I am not very clever at it but it is still alot of fun and if you get a chance to be involved in a swap I say go for it :)

Here are a few of my pages I have done so far.....

Quite a few of the journals have a quote theme which has been loads of fun.  My latest one is the top one, boy was that hat hard to draw!  I have forgotten to take photos of quite a few which is a bit sad :(  At least I remembered these ones though so that is all good.

Project Life Week 3

I had forgotten to post my week 3 spread, which is kind of unbelievable as it is my favourite so far.....

Lots of little things happened, plus it was the school holidays so of course the kids were here keeping me out of trouble ;)

Here are a few close ups....

I have used my new BH coral kit in a few places on this spread - I am pretty sure it is my fav kit so far, the colours are perfect for boys and girls which is great in our house.

And something I have done this week is clean up the desk in the office, it is part of my new organising kick - so far I have done our bedroom....

and I am part way through the boys room - that is where I snaffled the shelf at the back of the desk from, it used to be in my room when I was a kid :)  And now I have it back.    Still alot of rooms to go but it is a good start.  And I am so happy with how these 2 rooms look I am really looking forward to getting the house finished.  PLUS I have Andrew doing his mancave and I have been selling the unwanted stuff on the Dannevirke sell page on Facebook and making some birthday money YAY.

A Pretty Special Layout

As a child, and an adult, I was fortunate to have really fantastic parents :)  When I was born they were a little older than the norm back then.  Unfortunately this meant that all my grandparents apart from my Nana had already passed away.  We lived a relatively long way from my Nana so I didn't see her  much, maybe once a year if that. Anyway recently I posted a photo on facebook of some of my cousin and myself at Nana's 80th, it kind of snowballed and there were lots of cousins I hadn't seen since that night being tagged in it.  This led to a facebook group being started for the family and lots of awesome photos being posted, which I have now saved.  One of the photos was a photo of my Pop, who is my mums Dad.
I decided to make a layout with it, it is not a heritage layout and I have used fairly modern papers but I think they match the photo.  I have also put some hidden journalling behind the photo that is personal to me.

I am stoked with how it has turned out  and again - I love the photo so much.

Some February Project Life Spreads

Ok so I know that officially you are only supposed to call it project life if you are using all Becky Higgins stuff - well I don't care.  And since Harvey Norman actually bagged the name for their photo memory line and I have used their cards as well as BH ones I am going to call it project life!  And here are 2 spreads for your enjoyment....

Swinging in the Breeze with Southern Girls

This week over at SGC we would love to see projects with banners and/or pennants.  I love me some pennants and of course Trace and I come up with the themes so yep - pennants and banners it is ;)

This week we have 2 of our new ladies starting with the team so make sure and drop by and check out their projects.

Here is my card for this challenge, I have used a wonderful background from Make it Crafty who are one of our fabby sponsors this challenge.

I also used a Saturated Canary image layered in PSE over the MIC background.  The images are coloured with prisma pencils on watercolour paper and this time I blended with odourless mineral spirits to blend, normally I don't bother.  The papers are Sweetest thing by My minds eye.
