Digital Tuesday Challenge - Coral & Kraft (or Tan)

This weeks challenge over at Digital Tuesday Challenge is a colour challenge we want to see cards with coral and tan or kraft.  There is an inspiration picture which I will show you after I have shared my card with you...

I have used an image from Pollycraft although Paula is no longer selling from her own webstore some of the Pollycraft images are available from Miss Muffet stamps.

While I  was making this card I realised it would be perfect for a cute & crazy cat lady I know, and I mean that in the nicest sense possible, she is obsessed, she even owns shoes with cats on them :)  Kate is very sweet and I know she will like this card. So it will be making it's way to Martinborough (go the mighty M-borough, my home sweet home town) to brighten her day at some stage when I can be bothered to go to the post office in town.
Ok so here is the inspiration photo....

Wow, they are tidy, no yesterday undies on the floor or dust bunnies hiding anywhere ;)

So anyway enough of my ramble, suffice to say, make something using this pic as inspiration with a digi element and link up over at the DTC blog and you could win a prize from Robyn's fetish.

I am linking to the following challenges....
Emerald Faeries - Punches & Dies
Everybody Art Challenge - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
Through the Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
Always Crafting - Kids
Make It Monday -- Anything Goes

Card Mania - Anything Goes

Today is the first day of the brand new Card Mania Challenges and we are being sponsored by.........

I am very excited about being on the DT as all the girls are incredibly talented.  Alot of them are Bulgarian so if you decide to have a look around at the DT blogs you may need to use your translate button.

here is a list of the other DT members.......

Now here is my card for our ANYTHING GOES challenge....

There was a mild disaster with this card, Connor decided to play with green glimmermist while my card was in front of him and it sprayed all over it, hence the funky green and blue sky in the image ;)

Thanks loads for coming to visit and have a grand day :)

Digital Tuesday Challenge - Childs Play

This week at Digital Tuesday Challenge we want to see cards for children.    We are being sponsored by Pink Gem, unfortunately I wasn't organised enough this week to snap up an image so I have used this image from the now closed :( Pollycraft (I shed a little tear that day).

Here is my card........

It was VERY timely that I made this as the boys came home yesterday from school with invites to a party on the weekend, so that makes the card a little less stressful.

I used papers from MME "on the sunnyside" 6x6 paper pad, a kaisercraft "kidzone"stamp for the sentiment, Papaya bazzill cardstock, Hero Arts Cerulean chalk ink, prisma pencils for colouring all the image apart from the skin which is coloured with copics, pebbles inc flag, button and twine.  I used water colour paper for my image as I like to colour with pencils on a textured surface and the watercolour paper allows for blending with OMS really well.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.........
Anything Goes Challenge - Summer Days
Cards & More - Anything Goes
Ribbon Carousel - Celebrating Summer
Critter Challenge - Digi Challenge
Paper pretties - Anything Goes
Truely Madly Crafty - Summer
Whoopsie Dasy Challenge - Anything goes

Thanks loads for visiting on this gorgeous Wednesday morning :)  Hope you have a great day!!!!!

My what big eyes you have layout

Hi, here with you today to share a layout with some summery colours to inspire winter to LEAVE NOW ;)

I have made up this layout with papers from a 6x6 pad, just to show that you certainly don't need to go out and specifically buy scrap supplies if scrapbooking is something you would like to try.

Here is my layout..........

I used my sewing machine to get the papers to stay in place.  I used AC Thickers for the main title and tiny type for the subtitle.  I cut up a journaling card that didn't suit and added washi tape to make it cohesive with colours in the layout.  I used some pre-made flags but they are so easy to make with paper and a toothpick you really don't need to buy pre-made ones.  I also used a flair badge, these are everywhere at the moment and I am totally in love with them.   That is it really, a very quick and easy layout to make so thanks for looking, have a great weekend :)

Cute & Quick with Washi Tape

here briefly to share a cute, quick and easy project with washi tape and a cheapo note book.

I started with this cheap pen and notebook from our local discount store

I sealed the notebook with modge podge, once it was dry I painted the notebook white with acrylic paint.  When it was dry I covered with strips of washi tape, I also wound another design of tape around the pen.

On the inside I stuck down white card to hide the ripped ends of the tape.

I added elastic to the back to make a band to flick around to the front to hold the notebook shut.  I also made a loop in the front to hold the pen in place.  I attached the elastic using my eyelet fastener and large eyelets
To finish I cut a banner with spellbinders a Ribbon banners die and fussy cut a balloon from one of the papers in the 6x6 Basic Grey "What's Up"paper pad.

And there you have it a quick and cute gift for a friend or just something cute for yourself.
