SGC - The Final Post :(

Earlier this month Trace and I made the decision to close Southern Girls Challenge.
It has been our baby for 10 years.  It wasn't always smooth sailing but it was fun. Then it wasn't anymore...
My mum and dad moved last October and since then they have been having health problems.  Recently my mum had a stroke. It has been hard travelling to see them and still trying to do everything I did when they lived near me.
Add on top of that 4 kids with school and sports commitments plus starting back at work it was time for me to say "I just can't do this anymore".  Tracy felt the same.  She has had her own things going on and so it just seems like the right time for us to say farewell.
Today is our last post at SGC, we are so lucky to have had the most amazing DT members over the years.  Some of whom have come to join us and the current team for our last post.

Be sure to head over and say goodbye :)  It has been a blast!!!!!!

Thanks for dropping by

Cutesy Girly for my Girly...

I have a daughter, she is my only girl of my 4 children.
Just as I was mum's only girl out of the 5 of us.
Just like my mum after so many boys, sometimes my daughters behaviour  makes me go "WTF" but then I remember she is a girl and girls are VERY different to boys and I feel all blessed to have her in my life.

So this card is for her, because she is a treasure!

The image is a Krista Smith image called Heart Craft
I coloured her up on kraft cardstock with prisma pencils.

Thanks loads for dropping by

Dreamy Dragon with Bizzy Becs

Hi, I am here with you today to share a card I made for a friend who loves dragons.
This is also my Bizzy Bec's Design Team project for this month.

I coloured up Whimsy Stamps Dreamy Dragon with inktense pencils on watercolor paper

I used a paper pad from my stash.
I stamped the sentiment from Stampin Bella Unicorn Sentiments

Thanks for dropping by and I hope I gave you a little inspiration :)

Southern Girls - Anything Goes

Today is Team Lou's first challenge for 2020 over at
SOUTHERN GIRLS CHALLENGE

We have new team member s and this year we are going to be anything goes for every challenge.

There will still be special prizes for Aussie and NZ crafters.

For this challenge I used a stamp that is available from Auzz Trinkets and Crafts who are one of our sponsors.

I stamped the image Penny Black Radiant in grey flannel Memento ink.
I then coloured it with prisma pencils.
I masked the image and sponged around it with dye ink.
The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set.

Thanks for dropping by, come on over to SGC and play along

See told you I was going to be better.....

And I am back!
With barely a gap between posts, go me.

Today I am sharing an older Tiddly Inks image on a card with you.

I coloured this one on Kraft too, which will be the case with a few upcoming cards as I print out 6 images at once on a sheet of A4.

Again the image is coloured with inktense pencils.
The papers are Kaisercraft Papers from a 6.5x6.5 pad.
I did go back to 6x6 for this card base.
I am running out of large envelopes though so I either need to cut down my size or find a supplier!

Thanks for joining me today.

YAY YAY YAY......

OMG - My posts are getting more and more sporadic so I am about to schedule a crapload of them so that my recent cards will see the light of day.

I recently become a member of Krista Smith's patreon thing.
I love her images and I was totally sad when she closed her shop a couple of years ago.
Then I spotted on facebook that she was back creating, so exciting.
AND she has opened a brand new onling shop YAY!

So, yep, I have been making a few cards with Krista's images lately.
the first I will share with you today.

This image was one of a set of character stamps that can be used together or apart and I can not find him in the shop so not sure where you would get him now.

I coloured him up on kraft cardstock using inktense pencils.

I decided to go small and flat for the card base so that meant a pretty quick card to finish.

Thanks for popping by today
Lou.
